School Speech Language Pathologist - Port Orchard, Washington

A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist is needed for a full-time, contract role at an early learning environment serving young learners. This on-site position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact as part of a collaborative educational team. The anticipated start date is August 24th.

Key Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Valid SLP license for Washington state
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC)
• Previous school-based experience or a passion for working with early learners
• Proficiency in conducting evaluations, developing IEPs, and implementing individualized interventions
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct speech and language therapy to students in developmental preschool, itinerant settings, and support services for young children
• Conduct and interpret comprehensive evaluations, including Child Find screenings and possible Transitional Kindergarten assessments
• Participate in eligibility and IEP meetings before or after student school hours
• Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to develop effective, individualized intervention plans
• Maintain thorough documentation per district, state, and federal requirements
• Foster an inclusive and encouraging classroom environment

Work Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week (8:45 am – 4:15 pm for staff)
• Student day runs from 9:10 am – 4 pm
• No developmental preschool students on Wednesdays; time can be used for evaluations, meetings, and planning
