A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for the 2026-2027 school year in Port Orchard, WA. This contract position offers a chance to work in an educational setting supporting students from pre-kindergarten through age 22, with a caseload of approximately 50 students. The exact location within the district is to be determined.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group speech-language therapy services to students with diverse communication needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educators, families, and support staff.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust therapy goals and techniques accordingly.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to student assessments.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation consistent with school policies and state regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Speech-Language Pathologist credential and appropriate state licensure.
  • Experience delivering speech therapy services in school settings preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with students, families, and staff.
  • Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 50 students with varying levels of needs.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work across different age groups, from PK to age 22.

Contract Details:

  • Start Date: August 24, 2026 (training days may be required the week prior)
  • First Day of School: August 31, 2026
  • End Date: Tentatively June 16, 2027, with potential extension to June 23, 2027, due to snow makeup days
  • Weekly Hours: 37.5 hours
  • Hourly Rate: $50 - $65
