Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Portales, NM

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive speech and language therapy services to diverse student populations (ages and specific populations will be determined)
• Conduct evaluations, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and implement appropriate interventions
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and other professionals to support student goals
• Maintain thorough documentation and meet compliance standards
• Serve as an itinerant SLP, delivering support across various school locations as assigned
• Participate in student support meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams

Desired Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
• Valid New Mexico SLP license required prior to start
• Experience in school-based settings or working with children/adolescents preferred
• Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
• Comfort with collaborating on multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to effectively manage a full-time caseload and travel to multiple sites as needed
