Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid SLP license in Connecticut (or eligibility to obtain)
- SLP-CCC, SLP-CFY, or school-based SLP experience preferred
- Knowledge of teletherapy platforms and best practices (bonus if you have prior teletherapy or remote experience)
- Skill working with elementary-grade students in a school setting
- Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
- Ability to effectively participate in the IEP process and work alongside educators and caregivers
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to elementary school students in accordance with their IEP goals
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and ongoing assessments to monitor student progress
- Develop individualized treatment plans and participate in the creation and implementation of IEPs
- Collaborate closely with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student success
- Maintain thorough documentation and adhere to school and state requirements
- Contribute positively to a proactive, team-centered environment
