Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid SLP license in Connecticut (or eligibility to obtain)
  • SLP-CCC, SLP-CFY, or school-based SLP experience preferred
  • Knowledge of teletherapy platforms and best practices (bonus if you have prior teletherapy or remote experience)
  • Skill working with elementary-grade students in a school setting
  • Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to effectively participate in the IEP process and work alongside educators and caregivers

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech and language therapy to elementary school students in accordance with their IEP goals
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and ongoing assessments to monitor student progress
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and participate in the creation and implementation of IEPs
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student success
  • Maintain thorough documentation and adhere to school and state requirements
  • Contribute positively to a proactive, team-centered environment
