School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist - Portland, Maine

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Valid SLP license for the state or eligibility to obtain one
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred, candidates completing their Clinical Fellowship (CF) welcome to apply
• Previous experience in a school setting is valued, though not required
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities:

• Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students from kindergarten through 12th grade
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educators and families
• Deliver direct therapy services individually and in group settings
• Conduct screenings and progress monitoring assessments
• Maintain thorough documentation of student progress and intervention outcomes
• Consult and collaborate regularly with teachers, administrators, and onsite support staff to optimize student success
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions as needed
