Speech Therapist in Portland, ME

This full-time, contract position is ideal for a dedicated SLP committed to helping students develop strong communication skills. You’ll work in person with a manageable caseload of 20 students, each presenting unique needs and strengths across a range of communication challenges.

Required Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• SLP-CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) required
• Eligibility for state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
• Experience or strong interest in school-based speech therapy
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, families, and related services
• Strong organization and documentation skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group speech-language therapy services to students with diverse needs
• Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans appropriate for each student
• Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions and progress
• Work collaboratively with school staff to ensure integrated support for each student
• Participate in IEP meetings, providing expert input on student needs and progress
