This position offers a rewarding opportunity to provide speech-language therapy services within a school setting in Portland, ME. The role involves supporting students’ communication development through individualized assessments and interventions, helping them achieve their academic and social potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
- Provide travel to multiple school locations as required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) certification or licensure
- Experience working with school-aged children in educational settings
- Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders and intervention strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage a caseload and maintain organized records
- Willingness to travel to different school sites within the area
