This opportunity is for two full-time Oregon Licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) serving students with special education needs in a school setting. Both positions are Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day with an unpaid lunch break. One role is based at a single school location while the other involves a variety of sites within Multnomah County, with part-time options available for the multi-site assignment.

Location: Portland, OR area (multiple school programs within Multnomah County)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and provide direct speech and language services to language-impaired students.
  • Implement and oversee augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems tailored to student needs.
  • Collaborate with educators and service providers to develop and deliver individualized interventions.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to create and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Screen, assess, and determine speech/language service levels for referred students.
  • Develop therapy plans and materials, provide training and coaching to staff regarding AAC integration.
  • Act as liaison with parents, professionals, and community agencies.
  • Supervise Speech Language Pathology Assistants.
  • Maintain accurate records, including documentation for Medicaid billing.
  • Support equity initiatives, foster trust, and communicate effectively within the school community.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Oregon licensure as an SLP.
  • Experience in school-based speech-language pathology.
