Take the next step in your speech-language pathology career by making a difference in the lives of young children. An in-person SLP is needed for a rewarding contract position starting mid-August and running through January, with the potential for extension through June. This opportunity focuses on providing vital Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) services for children aged 3–5 in homes and community preschool settings throughout East Multnomah County.

Your clinical expertise will be essential in supporting children’s communication skills at this critical developmental stage, working closely with families and educational teams to foster growth and success.

What you’ll bring:

  • Current Speech-Language Pathologist license/credentials
  • SLP - CCC certification
  • Experience or passion for working with early childhood (ages 3–5)
  • Knowledge of Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) principles
  • Ability to communicate effectively with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Flexibility to provide services in home and community preschool environments
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills

What you’ll do:

  • Conduct speech-language assessments for children referred to ECSE
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Deliver direct therapy services in preschool and home settings
  • Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals
  • Maintain thorough documentation in accordance with program requirements
  • Engage in team meetings and contribute to family education and support
