Qualifications & Experience:

  • Hold a valid and current SLP license
  • Certification appropriate for school-based SLP positions
  • Experience with elementary and/or high school students preferred
  • Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills
  • Adaptability and enthusiasm working in a school setting
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to identify students’ communication needs
  • Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized IEPs in collaboration with teachers and families
  • Provide direct speech and language therapy utilizing best practices and evidence-based interventions
  • Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and prepare reports as required
  • Collaborate with educators, counselors, and other specialists to support student success
  • Offer training, consultation, and resources to school staff and families
  • Participate in school-related meetings, professional development activities, and ongoing education
