Key Qualifications:

  • Current certification and state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
  • Previous experience or practicum within elementary, middle, and/or high school environments
  • Strong understanding of evidence-based practices in speech and language therapy
  • Ability to assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for communication disorders
  • Skilled in collaboration with teachers, families, and support staff
  • Comfortable working independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct screenings and evaluations to determine students’ needs
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with IEP goals
  • Provide direct therapy sessions to students with communication and language challenges
  • Maintain thorough, timely documentation and progress records
  • Participate in IEP meetings, providing valuable insights and recommendations
  • Consult and collaborate with educators and parents to promote carryover of strategies into classrooms and homes
  • Contribute to a supportive educational environment for students with diverse backgrounds and learning needs
