Desired Qualifications:

  • Active SLP license in the state of Virginia (or ability to obtain prior to start)
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
  • Previous experience working with school-aged children preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to develop and implement tailored therapy plans

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and indirect speech-language services to students, including assessments, evaluations, and individualized treatment sessions
  • Develop and update IEPs (Individualized Education Programs) in coordination with multidisciplinary teams
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with federal, state, and district requirements
  • Engage and collaborate closely with educators, parents, and other support staff
  • Monitor student progress and adjust intervention strategies as needed
  • Participate in parent meetings, professional development, and staff training sessions
