Preferred qualifications and experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
• Current, valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLP
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (or CFY status)
• Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred, but not required
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Familiarity with a variety of assessment tools and therapy techniques

Key responsibilities:

• Assess students’ communication skills through standardized and informal measures
• Develop appropriate treatment plans tailored to each student’s needs and IEP goals
• Provide direct speech and language therapy in individual and small group settings
• Document progress, maintain records, and communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and other staff
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment
• Foster an inclusive, supportive atmosphere that encourages student growth and confidence
