School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Poteet, Texas

Exciting opportunity for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support two school campuses in Poteet, TX through a contract role. This position combines in-person and potentially virtual service delivery to meet the needs of students during maternity leave coverage periods.

Role Overview: You will provide specialized speech-language therapy services to students across Silos Elementary and Potranco Elementary. Responsibilities include direct therapy, supervision of an SLP Assistant, and active participation in ARD (Admission, Review, and Dismissal) meetings. Silos Elementary serves 95+ students and requires coverage from February 1 to April 30. Potranco Elementary has approximately 50 students with needs estimated from March 10 to the end of the school year (May 30). While preference is given to in-person candidates, virtual therapy professionals will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized speech-language evaluations and therapy to students
• Supervise and support the SLP Assistant in delivering effective therapy
• Prepare for and participate in ARD meetings, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
• Adapt therapy techniques to both in-person and teletherapy formats as needed
• Monitor progress and update documentation according to school protocols

Qualifications:

• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
• Experience working with school-aged children in an educational setting
• Strong skills in supervision and collaboration with support staff
• Ability to manage caseloads effectively and communicate with families and educators
• Flexibility to provide services both in-person and via teletherapy when necessary
