A dedicated school-based Speech-Language Pathologist is needed for a contract role supporting a vibrant middle school population. In this position, you'll deliver comprehensive speech and language services, helping students thrive academically and socially.
Preferred experience with bilingual populations is valued, but not required—enthusiasm and commitment to making a difference are key. You’ll collaborate with a supportive team, foster development in students, and ensure compliance with educational standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Active and valid SLP license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Experience working in school settings, particularly middle schools, strongly preferred
- Ability to manage a full-time caseload effectively
- Willingness to work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and families
- Bilingual skills are a plus, but not mandatory
- Strong organizational, communication, and documentation abilities
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students
- Maintain thorough documentation and statutory compliance
- Communicate progress and strategies to families and staff
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and IEP team discussions
- Provide support and training to classroom staff as needed
- Adapt communication interventions to best serve diverse student populations
