Speech Language Pathologist in Poteet, TX

A rewarding contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide full-time services in a high school setting, working closely with students to support communication needs. The district seeks an immediate start through early June 2027, offering professionals the chance to make a real impact on students’ development and academic achievement. Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply, though this is not required.

Desired Qualifications:

• Current SLP license
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC) highly desired
• Experience within a school setting, especially with a high school population, is preferred
• Bilingual proficiency is a plus, but not required
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with students, staff, and families

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate students’ speech, language, and communication abilities
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for eligible students
• Provide direct and indirect speech therapy services based on student needs
• Consult regularly with teachers and other educational staff to support student goals
• Maintain accurate records in compliance with district and state guidelines
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team planning

This contract position is full time at 37.5 hours per week, supporting students in a high school environment. You’ll have the opportunity to build relationships, enhance students’ communication skills, and collaborate with a committed network of educators and specialists.
