Qualifications & Experience Sought:

  • Active state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology
  • ASHA CCC-SLP certification (or eligibility preferred)
  • Prior experience working in a school environment, ideally with K-8 populations
  • Strong background supporting students with diverse disabilities, including non-verbal communication
  • Proficiency with AAC devices and alternative communication methods a plus
  • Effective collaboration skills with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and consultative SLP services to K-8 students as outlined in IEPs
  • Conduct assessments to determine communication strengths and needs
  • Collaborate with educators and families to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Support students in developing functional communication skills, including use of AAC systems
  • Document progress and participate in IEP meetings, providing valuable input for personalized education plans
  • Adapt therapy approaches to meet a wide array of student abilities and needs
