Step into an impactful role as a School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), supporting elementary students across two sites in the picturesque region near Poulsbo, WA, for the 2026-2027 academic year. This full-time, in-person contract position offers the chance to make a difference while working collaboratively within an educational setting.
Your expertise will help K-12 students communicate more effectively, thrive academically, and build essential skills. The caseload is managed thoughtfully—with a limit of 48 students, though numbers may occasionally increase, typically ranging between 48-60, depending on the needs throughout the year.
Requirements and Desired Qualifications:
- Valid WA SLP License required
- ESA (Educational Staff Associate) certification
- SLP-CCC certification (Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology)
- Experience working in school settings, ideally with elementary-age students
- Must be fingerprinted through OSPI prior to start date
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication abilities
- Skilled in providing individualized and group speech-language therapy services
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and provide therapy for students with a range of speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop IEPs, collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams, and track student progress
- Deliver engaging, effective interventions to support speech and language development
- Travel between two elementary sites (all within the same district) as part of a dynamic team
- Maintain up-to-date documentation and comply with school and state regulations
