This contract role spans the academic year, serving primarily elementary and middle school students with a manageable caseload and opportunities for professional growth.
Key Qualifications:
- Hold a current SLP (ASHA) license in Alabama.
- Possess or be eligible for an Alabama professional educator license (information available at the Alabama Teacher Certification Portal).
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship accepted; CCCs preferred and may have supervisory responsibilities.
- Experience in school-based settings highly valued.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Capacity to adapt between working at one or occasionally two school sites.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech and language services for a caseload of approximately 60 students.
- Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans tailored to student needs.
- Deliver direct therapy and collaborate with teachers, families, and other school professionals to foster student success.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines.
- If holding CCCs, supervise clinical fellows as assigned.
- Participate in Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions as needed.
