What you’ll bring:

• Valid Alabama ASHA certification
• Alabama Educator SLP Certification (can begin pending final approval; check status here: https://tcert.alsde.edu/Portal/Public/Pages/SearchCerts.aspx)
• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• SLP-CCC credentials
• Experience delivering therapy and evaluations in a school setting
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload of up to 60 students
• Commitment to fostering a positive, engaging learning environment
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills—no SLPAs will be supervised in this role

Day-to-day responsibilities:

• Provide speech and language therapy and conduct thorough evaluations for students on an elementary school caseload
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and other professionals to create and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Maintain accurate documentation and track student progress and outcomes
• Use your expertise to help students build foundational communication skills, supporting their success in and out of the classroom
• Engage actively in student assessment, progress reporting, and data-driven instruction within a supportive school community

This contract position runs through the end of May 2027, with full-time, weekday hours that allow you to make a consistent difference over the school year.
