ESY Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Prince Frederick, MD

Step into a rewarding summer contract opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) near Prince Frederick, MD and its surrounding areas. This position is tailored for skilled professionals seeking flexible, part-time hours during the Extended School Year (ESY) program, with a schedule of 20 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, from 8am to 12pm. Your expertise will make a tangible difference for K-12th grade students from June 29th through July 30th.

Desired Qualifications:

• Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license and SLP-CCC credential
• Prior experience within a school setting strongly preferred
• Familiarity with ESY (Extended School Year) services is an advantage
• Skilled in designing and implementing individualized therapy plans for diverse student populations
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, educators, and families
• Dedication to fostering language, speech, and communication growth in school-aged children

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct speech and language therapy services to K-12 students as outlined in Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Conduct assessments, document progress, and maintain thorough records in compliance with district and state guidelines
• Collaborate with educators, special education staff, and families to align therapy goals with student needs
• Participate in team meetings regarding student progress and recommendations for continued support
• Adapt therapy strategies as needed for a diverse caseload and ESY-driven schedules
