An exciting opportunity awaits for a Speech-Language Pathologist interested in making a genuine difference within a supportive school environment. This position offers a chance to work with students ages 8–12, focusing on speech and language services throughout the school year.
Step into a contract role that enables you to deliver meaningful interventions, directly impacting the communication growth and academic success of your caseload of approximately 50 students. You'll be based at a single campus, allowing you to build strong relationships with staff and students. The role begins immediately and runs through May 28, following a Monday through Friday schedule for a total of 35 hours per week.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Valid state licensure and/or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellow (CFY) candidates also welcome
- Previous school-based experience or pediatric healthcare skills strongly valued
- Compassionate, patient, and effective communicator
- Comfortable working in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary educational setting
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to students ages 8–12
- Conduct evaluations and reassessments as needed
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans
- Document student progress and collaborate with teachers, parents, and related staff
- Participate in eligibility, IEP, and team meetings as required
