We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist (PT) to join a highly supportive school team in Providence, Rhode Island. This full-time opportunity offers the chance to work with students with significant needs while collaborating with experienced educators and related service providers in a positive and team-oriented environment.

Position Highlights

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate students and develop individualized physical therapy plans
  • Provide direct and consultative physical therapy services in accordance with IEPs
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, support staff, and families to support student success
  • Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
  • Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with district, state, and federal requirements
  • Recommend adaptive equipment and environmental modifications as needed

Qualifications

  • Doctorate or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
  • Active Rhode Island Physical Therapist license
  • Previous pediatric or school-based experience preferred
  • Experience working with students with significant or complex needs is a plus
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills

Additional Requirements

  • Must be willing to complete Safety-Care Training (provided by the school)
  • Ability to support students with varying physical, behavioral, and medical needs

Compensation for this position ranges from $40.38 to $60.38. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals.
