We’re seeking an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with CCC credentials for a full-time contract role, supporting a vibrant educational community near Putnam, CT. Desired Qualifications and Background:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Experience delivering speech and language interventions in school-based settings, preferably across K-12 grades
- Solid skills in assessment, intervention planning, and individualized education program (IEP) development
- Strong collaboration abilities with educators, families, and other support professionals
- Familiarity with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices and diverse learning needs
- Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Positive and flexible attitude, ready to adapt to changing environments and student populations
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment to students with speech, language, voice, or fluency disorders
- Develop, implement, and regularly review IEPs in partnership with multidisciplinary teams and families
- Deliver ongoing therapy sessions individually or in groups according to student needs
- Track progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to IEP meetings and parent conferences
- Offer consultative support and strategies for teachers to promote academic success and positive classroom communication
- Participate in professional development and stay current on best practices within school speech-language pathology
