School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Puyallup, Washington

Bring your expertise in speech-language pathology to a vibrant educational setting, where you'll have the unique opportunity to support students' communication growth both onsite or virtually. This contract position runs through June 23, 2027, and gives you the flexibility to select the working style that best fits your life. Take on a manageable caseload of 40–50 students, making a positive daily impact in an elementary resource room setting.

Key qualifications and experience:

• Valid Washington State SLP License required
• SLP-CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence)
• Experience in school-based speech-language pathology services
• Must complete fingerprinting through OSPI
• Comfort working with elementary-age students
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Ability to develop and implement IEPs tailored to students’ needs
• Familiarity with onsite and remote service delivery (VOCO)

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering direct speech-language therapy to students
• Assessing and evaluating speech, language, and communication disorders
• Developing individualized education plans (IEPs) and progress monitoring
• Collaborating with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Participating in IEP meetings and providing student advocacy
• Documenting services and maintaining compliance with district and state requirements
• Flexibility to provide services onsite at an elementary resource room or online as needed
• Serving as a resource to staff for best practices in communication support
