This contract opportunity is ideal for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) who thrives on helping children and adolescents overcome communication challenges and reach their full academic and social potential.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Active state SLP license or eligibility for licensure
- Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred, but strong CF candidates may be considered
- Previous experience in a school setting is desirable
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to tailor interventions to meet diverse student needs
Role Responsibilities:
- Assess students' speech and language abilities using standardized tools
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
- Provide direct therapy services to students with a variety of speech and language disorders
- Document progress and maintain records in accordance with district and state guidelines
- Consult with teachers, parents/guardians, and other professionals to support student success
- Participate in IEP meetings and serve as a resource for staff and families regarding communication strategies
