Elementary Certified Speech Language Pathologist in Raleigh, NC

Essential Qualifications:

• Valid SLP-CCC license required
• Certification to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist
• Previous experience in a school setting—especially with elementary-aged students—is highly valued
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
• Organized with excellent documentation and record-keeping abilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in elementary school students
• Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique needs
• Provide direct and consultative speech-language therapy services
• Monitor student progress and regularly update IEPs as needed
• Maintain accurate session notes, assessments, and required documentation
• Participate in IEP meetings, staff conferences, and professional development activities
• Offer support and resources to families and school staff to promote student success
