Step into an impactful role supporting Kindergarten through high school students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the Victor Valley and High Desert area. This onsite contract opportunity spans the academic year, with services provided across two school sites. You’ll have the chance to work directly with a diverse group of students, supporting their communication and language skills in collaboration with educators and families.
Ideal Experience & Qualifications:
- Active California Speech-Language Pathology license required
- Valid or pending Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) credential
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred, but open to Clinical Fellows (CF) with supervision provided for those holding a preliminary credential
- Strong background in school-based SLP settings
- Comfortable managing a caseload of up to 55 students from Kindergarten through High School
- Experience providing therapy, evaluations, and collaborating on IEPs
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with educational teams
- Committed to providing onsite services (no virtual or SLPA candidates, please)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy services to students across two school locations
- Conduct assessments, write reports, and track student progress
- Develop and implement IEP goals in collaboration with teachers and parents
- Maintain timely, detailed documentation for all services rendered
- Consult with multi-disciplinary staff to foster a supportive educational environment
This position offers a consistent schedule of 37.5 hours per week from early August to early June, allowing you to make a meaningful difference while maintaining work-life balance.
