Ideal candidates will bring the following:
- Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Previous experience with pediatric or elementary-aged caseloads preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, and a team-centered approach
- Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing direct speech and language therapy services to elementary students
- Completing thorough assessments and evaluations following district and state guidelines
- Crafting and executing individualized education program (IEP) goals tailored to each student’s needs
- Maintaining detailed records of progress and providing regular updates to families and staff
- Collaborating with teachers, interventionists, and support professionals to maximize student outcomes
- Participating in team meetings, including IEP meetings and parent conferences
- Contributing to a positive and supportive school environment
