Speech-language pathologists who are energetic, compassionate, and skilled in working with early childhood populations are sought for a rewarding contract opportunity supporting two schools. This unique role allows you to make a lasting impact with children ages 3-5, providing critical speech and language services that help shape their developmental journey. While the schools are 45 minutes apart, you will be assigned to one location for the entirety of each day, eliminating the need for midday travel.
This opportunity is ideal for full-time professionals interested in managing both positions, though part-time applicants will also be considered to best meet the needs of both schools.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Valid state licensure for speech-language pathology
- Previous experience evaluating and delivering therapy to preschool-aged children preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide evidence-based speech-language therapy sessions (up to 10 per day at Pine Plains, up to 43 per week at Mt. Marion when fully enrolled)
- Document and track student progress, maintaining accurate records
- Collaborate with teachers, aides, and families to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Adapt therapy techniques to changing enrollment and evolving student needs
- Stay current on best practices and participate in professional development when applicable
