Make a genuine impact supporting K-8 students as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist. This full-time opportunity runs the duration of the academic year, from August 5 through May 23, offering a 7-hour workday. Work closely with a caseload of approximately 60 students, delivering direct therapy, conducting evaluations, and managing cases to help them achieve essential communication milestones.
Key Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid SLP license in the state
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Prior experience in school-based settings highly preferred
- Strong communication skills with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Ability to manage time effectively and adapt to diverse learning needs
What You'll Do:
- Provide individualized and group speech-language therapy to K-8 students
- Complete assessments to determine student needs and make data-driven recommendations
- Maintain thorough documentation and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to create a supportive learning environment
- Offer ongoing case management to monitor progress and adjust interventions as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings, sharing expert insight and advocating for student success
