School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Redwood City, California

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for the upcoming school year. This full-time position spans from August 11th to November 10th, with a weekly commitment of 35 hours. Utilizing your expertise as an SLP holding a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), you’ll provide high-quality services to empower student communication and academic success.

Key Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Active California SLP licensure and current CCC credentials
• Previous experience delivering speech-language therapy in educational settings preferred
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
• Strong organizational and documentation abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
• Deliver direct and consultative speech-language therapy to students with a variety of communication challenges
• Maintain ongoing progress records and provide reports for staff and families
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to the school support team
• Foster positive relationships and provide advocacy for students in need of speech services
• Stay current with best practices and professional developments within the field
