Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Valid SLP-CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) required
  • Active state licensure appropriate for school-based practice
  • Previous experience working with school-aged children preferred
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with teachers, families, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Strong organizational abilities for managing caseloads and documentation
  • Comfort utilizing current therapy tools and technology

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat communication and swallowing disorders in students
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that support student success
  • Maintain clear, consistent documentation aligned with school policies and state guidelines
  • Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and other specialists to integrate therapy into the daily academic environment
  • Provide consultation and training to staff regarding speech and language challenges and best practices
  • Monitor student progress, revising treatment plans as needed based on outcomes and feedback
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and best practices within school-based SLP services
