Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid SLP-CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) required
- Active state licensure appropriate for school-based practice
- Previous experience working with school-aged children preferred
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with teachers, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Strong organizational abilities for managing caseloads and documentation
- Comfort utilizing current therapy tools and technology
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat communication and swallowing disorders in students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that support student success
- Maintain clear, consistent documentation aligned with school policies and state guidelines
- Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and other specialists to integrate therapy into the daily academic environment
- Provide consultation and training to staff regarding speech and language challenges and best practices
- Monitor student progress, revising treatment plans as needed based on outcomes and feedback
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and best practices within school-based SLP services
