Seeking an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist to provide maternity leave coverage for a supportive junior high school environment. This full-time contract opportunity runs from as soon as possible through October 6, 2026, offering the chance to make a real difference for students while working in a collaborative academic setting. The position is onsite, working directly with junior high students who benefit greatly from skilled SLP support.
Required Qualifications:
- Current, active SLP-CCC licensure for Ohio
- Minimum of one year prior experience working in a school-based setting
- Strong understanding of IEP development, therapy documentation, and progress monitoring
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and families
- Familiarity with best practices for providing SLP services in a dynamic, junior high environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect speech-language services to students according to IEPs
- Evaluate and assess communication disorders and develop appropriate intervention plans
- Consult with educators and families to support students’ communication needs in the classroom
- Maintain thorough, timely documentation and adhere to all required compliance guidelines
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, IEP reviews, and ongoing team collaboration
