Qualifications and Preferred Skills:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology license in Virginia (or eligibility)
- Experience working with children or adolescents in educational settings
- Ability to manage mixed caseloads across K-12 grades
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Understanding of IEP processes and development
- Flexibility, organization, and adaptability to diverse student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy services for students with speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in conjunction with educational teams
- Conduct screenings and participate in multidisciplinary evaluations
- Attend and contribute to IEP and student team meetings
- Educate and support families and staff regarding student needs and progress
- Maintain required records and documentation per school policies
- Collaborate closely with teachers, counselors, and other professionals to support student success
