Qualifications and Preferred Skills:

  • Valid Speech-Language Pathology license in Virginia (or eligibility)
  • Experience working with children or adolescents in educational settings
  • Ability to manage mixed caseloads across K-12 grades
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Understanding of IEP processes and development
  • Flexibility, organization, and adaptability to diverse student needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy services for students with speech, language, and communication disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in conjunction with educational teams
  • Conduct screenings and participate in multidisciplinary evaluations
  • Attend and contribute to IEP and student team meetings
  • Educate and support families and staff regarding student needs and progress
  • Maintain required records and documentation per school policies
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, counselors, and other professionals to support student success
