Virtual Speech Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) – Virginia

Position Overview

Sussex County Public Schools is seeking a dedicated and qualified Virtual Speech Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) to provide speech-language services to students through a teletherapy model during the 2026-2027 school year. This opportunity allows clinicians to make a meaningful impact while working remotely with a supportive educational team.

Caseload Information

  • K-12 student population
  • Caseload and school assignments will be discussed during the interview process
  • Caseloads will be assigned based on student needs and clinician experience

Required Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology
  • Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
  • Active Virginia Speech-Language Pathology License
  • Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) Pupil Personnel Services License with Speech-Language Pathology endorsement (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Previous school-based experience preferred
  • Virtual therapy experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Conduct virtual evaluations, assessments, and screenings
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEP goals
  • Provide direct and indirect speech-language therapy services
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and special education teams
  • Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with federal, state, and district requirements
  • Participate in virtual meetings, including IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings

Screening & Credentialing Requirements

  • Successful completion of all district onboarding requirements
  • Background check and fingerprinting as required by the district and state
  • Internal eligibility interview
