Key Qualifications:
- Valid Colorado SLP license required
- ASHA Certification (CCC or CFY) needed
- Background in pediatric, school, or healthcare-based speech-language services
- Experience—or a strong interest—in assessment, IEP development, and therapeutic intervention for school-aged children
- Effective collaboration skills with educators, support staff, and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders among students
- Create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in accordance with school guidelines
- Provide direct and consultative therapy tailored to each student’s unique needs
- Maintain records and documentation aligned with legal and school compliance standards
- Mentor and support peers and interns, as appropriate
- Communicate progress and therapeutic strategies to families and educational teams
