This full-time, full-school-year, contract opportunity allows you to support communication needs for learners with a range of disabilities—from mild articulation challenges to students in adaptive cluster programs with autism spectrum disorder. You'll have the chance to create meaningful impact across three high school campuses, with the bulk of your caseload centered at Mountain View High School.
This itinerant position boasts a manageable roster of approximately 60-70 students. Collaborate closely with dedicated teams, embrace the diversity of student needs, and assist in shaping successful outcomes. The school is open to both experienced practitioners as well as Clinical Fellows, and welcomes those ready to support or mentor an SLPA.
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Valid and active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license with CCC credential.
- Active, standard Arizona state certification.
- Current IVP fingerprint clearance card.
- Experience working in school settings preferred, but passionate new graduates encouraged to apply.
- Familiarity with a broad spectrum of disabilities, including articulation disorders and autism.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organization skills.
Core responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services across three high school sites.
- Manage a caseload of approximately 60-70 students with mild to severe communication challenges.
- Complete assessments, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and monitor progress.
- Provide support and guidance to students, staff, and families.
- Document services and outcomes in compliance with school protocols.
