Requirements for SLP-CCC candidates:
- Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology
- Active state license as an SLP
- Prior experience supporting students in a school setting
- Proficiency with a wide range of disabilities
Requirements for SLPA candidates:
- Bachelor’s degree in Speech Communication Disorders
- SLPA certification (or proof of application)
- School-based experience preferred
Primary responsibilities include:
- Delivering direct therapy services to students with diverse communication needs
- Developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Collaborating with teachers, staff, and families to promote student progress
- Documenting assessments, progress notes, and maintaining accurate records
- Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings and student support activities
