Qualifications and Skills:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current or eligibility for state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but Clinical Fellows are welcome to apply
- Previous experience in a school-based setting or strong clinical internship in pediatrics/schools
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong commitment to helping students develop their speech, language, and communication abilities
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of students' speech, language, communication, and swallowing needs
- Develop and implement individualized education program (IEP) goals in collaboration with teachers, parents, and other specialists
- Provide direct therapy services to students across various grade levels
- Document progress, maintain detailed records, and complete necessary reports as required by the school
- Participate in IEP meetings, team consultations, and professional development as needed
- Support generalization of communication skills within classrooms and social environments
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and growth-oriented learning atmosphere
