Step into a dynamic educational environment as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), serving middle and high school students on a contract basis. This role offers the unique opportunity to work three days per week through June 28th, providing targeted speech and language support to students in a supportive, collaborative setting.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Experience with pediatric and adolescent populations, preferably within school settings
- Familiarity with healthcare-related SLP practices and school-based service delivery models
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to quickly adapt to new environments and student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapeutic interventions to middle and high school students with speech, language, and communication challenges
- Assess, diagnose, and document student progress and needs in compliance with educational policies and professional standards
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educators, families, and other specialists
- Consult with teachers and staff to support student success in the academic environment
- Maintain accurate and timely records of services provided and progress reports
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional insights to student teams
- Offer guidance and strategies to families to extend support beyond the classroom
