Grades 6 - 8 K-5 School Speech Language Pathologist - Rio Rancho, New Mexico

Desired Background:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
• Active licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLP
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred, CFY considered
• Experience working with students of varying ages (elementary, middle, and high school)
• Strong understanding of IEP development, progress monitoring, and legal compliance in educational settings
• Confident in delivering therapy both individually (1:1) and in small groups
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to foster positive relationships with students, staff, and families

What You’ll Do:

• Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders for students K-12
• Develop and implement dynamic, individualized treatment plans and IEP goals
• Provide evidence-based therapy sessions in 1:1 and group settings
• Collaborate with general and special education staff, administrators, and families
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, contributing expertise to support student growth
• Document progress, maintain compliance with district and state regulations
• Offer guidance, resources, and support to school staff and parents
