This contract position offers you the opportunity to work full-time across the academic year, from late July through early June, collaborating closely with educators and families. You’ll utilize your expertise to provide speech-language services and guidance for students, while gaining valuable experience in a supportive environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology is required.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA is preferred, but Clinical Fellows (CFY) are also encouraged to apply.
- Must hold a G License from the NC Department of Public Instruction.
- Licensure from the Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists in North Carolina may be considered.
- Previous school-based experience is beneficial, though not mandatory.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech and language services to students, including screening, assessment, and diagnosis.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs.
- Consult, advise, and educate teachers, staff, and families to ensure effective support for student progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation and meet state and federal guidelines.
- Contribute to planning, oversight, and ongoing evaluation of speech-language programming within the school.
The role is full time at 37.5 hours per week, aligned with the school year calendar, so you’ll enjoy a predictable schedule and dedicated breaks in the academic calendar.
