Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Valid state licensure or eligibility to obtain required credentials
- Experience with self-contained classroom settings preferred
- Ability to address multiple and complex communication and developmental needs for early learners
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation
Primary responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for speech, language, and communication disorders within a school context
- Manage and coordinate services across four self-contained classrooms, prioritizing individualized care
- Develop and implement therapy plans tailored to each student's unique needs, especially for early learners
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings to support student goals
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to foster a supportive learning environment
- Advocate for best practices in speech and language services within the educational team
