Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Valid state licensure or eligibility to obtain required credentials
  • Experience with self-contained classroom settings preferred
  • Ability to address multiple and complex communication and developmental needs for early learners
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation

Primary responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for speech, language, and communication disorders within a school context
  • Manage and coordinate services across four self-contained classrooms, prioritizing individualized care
  • Develop and implement therapy plans tailored to each student's unique needs, especially for early learners
  • Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings to support student goals
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to foster a supportive learning environment
  • Advocate for best practices in speech and language services within the educational team
