Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Valid SLP license (Maryland or eligible for reciprocity)
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or CFY candidates considered
  • Previous experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Ability to create and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Comfort working with diverse student populations across age groups

Role Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in partnership with multidisciplinary teams
  • Deliver therapy services through individual, small group, and consultative models
  • Monitor student progress and maintain comprehensive records
  • Engage with teachers, families, and staff to facilitate generalization of skills into the classroom environment
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to eligibility and placement decisions
  • Keep current with best practices and evidence-based interventions in school-based speech therapy
