Qualifications & Skills:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
  • Active Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA required
  • Current state SLP licensure (or eligibility)
  • Previous experience in a school setting is highly desirable
  • Strong evaluation, diagnostic, and treatment skills for speech, language, and communication disorders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, support staff, and families
  • Strong organizational skills and adaptability

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and consultative speech and language therapy services to students with a range of needs
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s strengths and goals
  • Conduct thorough assessments, interpret results, and document progress
  • Collaborate closely with educators and special education teams to create supportive learning environments
  • Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and multidisciplinary team discussions
  • Maintain accurate records in compliance with federal, state, and district guidelines
  • Offer training, guidance, and resources to staff and families as needed
