Key Qualifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) licensure
- Certification required in Speech-Language Pathology
- Experience with elementary, middle, and/or high school students
- Thorough understanding of the educational IEP process
- Strong evaluation, diagnostic, and intervention skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to students as outlined in their IEPs
- Conduct assessments, interpret results, and develop individualized goals
- Foster a positive, inclusive environment in both individual and group sessions
- Consult regularly with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary staff to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and compliance with regulations
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional recommendations
- Provide education and strategies to stakeholders to enhance generalization of communication skills
