As a speech-language pathologist with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC), you will play a vital role in helping students with a variety of speech and language needs reach their highest potential. You'll collaborate with educators, special education staff, and families to ensure every student receives the support they need.
Key Qualifications:
- Active SLP-CCC credential
- Prior experience in pediatric or school-based settings
- Understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong communication, assessment, and documentation skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive educational environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy to students with articulation, language, fluency, and voice disorders
- Conduct screenings and comprehensive assessments
- Develop and implement tailored treatment plans, collaborating with parents and teachers to set student-centered goals
- Monitor, document, and report student progress as required by district and state guidelines
- Attend IEP meetings to develop goals and advocate for student needs
- Manage an assigned caseload, ensuring timely and effective therapy delivery
- Support and consult with school staff to ensure inclusive practices
