Step into an impactful role supporting students’ communication and social success during the 24/25 school year! We are seeking an in-person Speech-Language Pathologist with a passion for working in educational settings. You'll provide direct services to students at a campus near Lancaster, CA, helping them achieve critical speech and language milestones.
This contract position calls for someone experienced—or excited to build skills—with pediatric populations, including students on the Autism spectrum. You’ll join a collaborative, supportive educational team focused on meaningful outcomes for learners from diverse backgrounds.
Key Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Active SLP-CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- California SLP licensure or ability to obtain before start date
- Proven experience supporting pediatric clients, ideally in school environments
- Comfort and skill working with students with Autism and engaging with diverse needs
- Familiarity with teletherapy appreciated, but this role is strictly in person
- Team player—open to collaborating with educators, families, and support staff
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and deliver direct speech-language therapy services to school-aged students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in coordination with IEP teams
- Track student progress through data collection and compliant record-keeping
- Provide support, resources, and strategies to teachers and caregivers
- Lead small groups or one-on-one sessions as indicated
- Foster an inclusive, encouraging environment for children with a variety of speech and language needs, especially those with Autism spectrum disorders
