Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
  • Active SLP licensure in California (SLP-CCC or SLP-CFY accepted)
  • Previous experience in school, pediatric, or healthcare SLP settings preferred
  • Experience or strong comfort level working with students on the Autism spectrum
  • Proficiency in individualized education plan (IEP) development and progress monitoring
  • Familiarity with teletherapy is valued, though this assignment is strictly in-person
  • Collaborative, team-oriented approach with excellent communication skills

Primary Duties:

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders among K-12 students
  • Develop and implement personalized therapy plans tailored to student needs, with a focus on those with Autism
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation, including IEPs, progress reports, and session notes
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, staff, parents, and, as applicable, Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs)
  • Consult with multidisciplinary educational teams to support student outcomes and inclusion
  • Participate in school-based meetings, providing guidance regarding communication disorders and strategies
