An exciting contract opportunity is available for a speech-language pathologist passionate about supporting students in a dynamic educational environment. Key Qualifications:
- Active Illinois SLP license and Professional Educator License (PEL) required
- Strong Clinical Fellow (CF) candidates considered
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred but not mandatory
- School-based SLP experience or familiarity with K-2 caseloads is a plus
- Must be available to work onsite only
- Commitment to inclusive, student-centered practice
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy to a caseload of nine K-2 students, focusing on individualized education plans
- Conduct evaluations, maintain documentation, and collaborate closely with special education teams
- Participate in student progress meetings, supporting families and educators with recommendations and strategies
- Attend and complete new hire orientation, scheduled from August 12th to August 14th
- Uphold confidentiality, ethical standards, and school district protocols at all times
Assignment Details:
- Tentative contract dates for the 2026-2027 school year
- 7 hours per week, offering flexibility for those seeking supplemental work or a lighter workload
- All services provided onsite within an engaging special education setting
