This part-time opportunity (approximately 7-10 hours per week) focuses on providing exceptional speech and language services for pediatric students, while collaborating closely with a dedicated SLPA to ensure each child's progress and success.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- State licensure (or eligibility) as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Prior experience in school-based or pediatric SLP settings
- Strong teamwork and communication skills, with an interest in mentoring or collaborating with support staff (SLPA)
- Passion for helping children achieve their communication goals within an educational environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose communication disorders in students
- Design and implement individualized therapy plans based on each student’s needs and IEPs
- Work collaboratively with an SLPA, offering guidance and professional input for optimal service delivery
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings with families and multidisciplinary teams
- Provide engaging therapy sessions that support a positive learning atmosphere for students
